One thing about St. Paul? It has charm.
In St. Paul, The Guardian Building stands as a symbol of historical preservation and sustainable design. Once a bank designed in 1892, it has been meticulously restored and transformed into a space for a law firm and non-profits.
The restoration project revived the building's original features and incorporated innovative elements like a biosolar roof, the first of its kind in North America. This roof not only generates clean energy but also helps manage stormwater and reduce the building's environmental impact.
The Guardian Building now serves as a hub for organizations dedicated to social justice and environmental protection, fostering collaboration and inspiration. It's a shining example of how historic buildings can be repurposed to serve modern needs while preserving their unique character and contributing to a sustainable future.
