Shop Marigold, the first nonalcoholic bottle shop in the Twin Cities, is part of a growing movement of alcohol-free establishments across the country. Erin Flavin, owner of Honeycomb Salon, purchased her salon building in 2021 and, inspired by conversations with clients and her own experiences during the pandemic, envisioned a space for those seeking alternatives to alcohol.
Collaborating with Michael Gordon and Tony Ghilani of Greiner Construction, along with Maddy Nye and Kate Sandkamp, Flavin transformed her vision into reality. Shop Marigold now offers a diverse selection of nonalcoholic spirits, wines, and beers, catering to a wide range of individuals, from those taking a break from alcohol to those fully committed to a sober lifestyle.
Flavin's goal extends beyond retail. She plans to expand Marigold into a social space where people can gather and connect over nonalcoholic beverages, fostering a sense of community and support for those exploring a happier, healthier lifestyle.
Marigold is tapping into a thriving sober-curious movement, placing community and connection at the heart of its mission. The shop's opening marks an important step in creating inclusive spaces that celebrate sobriety and provide delicious, alcohol-free alternatives.
Shop Marigold is the first of its kind in the Twin Cities, and is part of a rising movement of nonalcoholic bars and bottle shops that have recently opened across the country.
