Horseshoe Bay Farms

Ten X Ten Landscape Architecture & Urbanism assembled, and led, a cross disciplinary team to create a master plan that revitalizes Horseshoe Bay Farms in Door County. This plan prioritizes sustainability and envisions the farm as a vibrant hub for community, culture, and learning.

With a history dating back to 1917, Horseshoe Bay Farms will continue to be a dynamic force in Door County. The master plan establishes the farm as a model of sustainable stewardship and innovative energy practices, breathing new life into this historic landmark.

The farm was reimagined as a Center for Sustainable Stewardship, dedicated to educating through action and fostering a community that values learning, culture, and innovation. It will be a place where history, science, art, and community spirit intersect and thrive.

Located along Green Bay, the master plan recognizes the connection between land and water, aiming to preserve this delicate balance while establishing Horseshoe Bay Farms as a guardian of water resources.
Reborn as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2018, Horseshoe Bay Farms is being revitalized. The master plan not only preserves the farm's rich heritage but also outlines unique programs and activities that will transform it into a vital community space, honoring the past while embracing the needs of the present.
