Rice Lake MN
Nestled within the White Earth Nation, Rice Lake Elder Village stands as a beacon of community values and sustainable living. This visionary project, born out of collaboration, is a haven for elders facing housing insecurity, offering them a safe and dignified space to age gracefully.
The village is more than just housing; it's a thoughtfully designed community that addresses the unique needs of its elders. With 12 dwelling units tailored for aging in place, residents can maintain their independence while enjoying a supportive and comfortable environment.
But Rice Lake Elder Village is more than just homes. It's a vibrant community hub, with spaces designed for social interaction, gardening, and shared meals. The intentional design fosters a sense of belonging and purpose, enriching the lives of its residents.
Sustainability is woven into the very fabric of the village. Energy-efficient systems, stormwater management, and on-site energy production demonstrate a commitment to both resident well-being and environmental stewardship.
Rice Lake Elder Village is a testament to the White Earth Nation's values. It's a place where elders are honored, community thrives, and a sustainable future is nurtured. This project is a shining example of how collaboration and thoughtful design can create spaces that enrich lives and strengthen communities.
