"What have you done with the garden that was entrusted to you?" Antonio Machado ~ The Wind One Brilliant Day
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota (WRC) aims to be a cutting-edge wildlife rehabilitation campus in Grant, Minnesota. This project prioritizes both top-notch medical care and natural habitats to aid in animal recovery.
Through collaborating with Urban Ecosystems the design blends the historic character of an existing farmstead with innovative solutions for sustainability, including rainwater collection systems and reclamation ponds to provide water for rehabilitation pools. On-site energy generation and passive strategies minimize the campus's environmental impact.
This project exemplifies the commitment of all involved to provide exceptional care for wildlife while prioritizing environmental stewardship and responsible architecture.
